Pulcinella 7 outdoors

Teatteri Metamorfoosi:
Pulcinella, Maccus, Bucco and The Rooster

A handpuppet theatre performance with ten puppets, two masks, two actors and one ukulele and a musician.

Pulcinella, Maccus, Bucco and The Rooster is an adaptation of the Italian puppetry tradition which has entertained children and adults over 350 years. In this perfromance, the world famous Italian Pulcinella-character is wildly presented to the audience by Finnish puppet and mask theatre professionals.

Pulcinella is a rebel character balancing on the edge of the rules of the society and the power of authorities. He dares to confront the Wife, the Child, the Bear, the Monk, the King, and the Death itself. No-one is safe from Pulcinella and even violence can't be avoided, and actually with the rhythm of violence and with the sound of the sticks and and the wooden puppet heads hitting the booth the performance proceeds from the beginning towards the inevitable end.

Pulcinella, Maccus, Bucco and The Rooster is an exciting theatre experience for all the slaves of the rules and at the same time a delightful praise for all the anarchist souls silenced by the obedient nation!
